The Midwest's Social Era Starts Here
The East Coast had Facebook. The West Coast had Instagram and Snapchat. We believe the next generation of social can rise from the Midwest.
Wapoo is building a playable social video app for the post-2005 generation. Every video can lead to different endings, and friends can jump in, change what happens next, and create the story together.
Our goal is bigger than launching another app. We want to shape how students meet, create, compete, hang out, and party together — and turn Midwest campus culture into something that travels across America. Wapoo was founded by consumer product builders from leading Silicon Valley technology companies who have helped build products from zero to more than 200 million daily active users.
Your Role
You will be part of Wapoo's founding campus team. Your job is to understand how your campus actually moves: where people meet, who brings groups together, what makes a party spread, and which communities shape campus culture. You will then turn those insights into real growth.
What You'll Own
- ▚Build Wapoo's network across Greek life, sports communities, student organizations, dorms, creators, parties, and game-day culture.
- ▚Find and recruit the students who can move entire friend groups, communities, and social circles.
- ▚Create campus moments — from parties and creator gatherings to unexpected collaborations — that students genuinely want to join.
- ▚Develop and test original ideas for how Wapoo can become part of everyday social life at your university.
- ▚Bring campus culture, student behavior, and real user feedback directly into Wapoo's growth and product decisions.
Who You Are
- ▚You know how to bring people together and can turn an idea into something real.
- ▚You are socially confident, highly resourceful, and comfortable approaching people you do not already know.
- ▚You care about college culture, consumer social products, parties, sports, creators, or community building.
- ▚You want ownership and are excited by the idea of building something before everyone else knows about it.
- ▚Experience organizing parties, student events, creator projects, sports communities, or campus organizations is a strong signal. A perfect résumé is not required.
Why Wapoo
You will not be handed a finished campus marketing playbook. You will help write it. The students we hire this fall will shape Wapoo's identity at their university and help determine how a new social platform spreads from the Midwest to the rest of America.
